Real estate investor Altera has leased the retail space at Sint Jorisplein 22, 23, and 24 in Amersfoort on behalf of the Altera Retail Fund to vanHaren Schoenen, effective 1 March. The store spans approximately 595 m² on the ground floor and 110 m² on the first floor. It is expected to open its doors to the shopping public in the second quarter.
Erwin Wessels, CIO of Altera, stated: “With the arrival of vanHaren, the footwear sector will be better represented at Sint Jorisplein. Considering the target audiences visiting Sint Jorisplein, we are confident that vanHaren will run a successful store here.”
About Sint Jorisplein
Sint Jorisplein Shopping Centre is an urban shopping destination that serves as the starting point for a shopping day in Amersfoort’s historic city centre. The centre offers a strong leasing proposition compared to the historic shopping streets, thanks to its large units, which can accommodate brands such as H&M, The Sting, and C&A. The addition of vanHaren further enhances the representation of the footwear sector at Sint Jorisplein. Moreover, the underground car park (long-term leased to Q-Park) is a key access point to Amersfoort’s city centre.
