Sustainability

We are convinced that our sustainability-driven investment strategy will continue to deliver sustainable returns that positively impact our investors, our tenants and society.

ESG Policy and SFDR

Future-proofing property portfolios goes beyond energy, water and waste sustainability. Sustainable and socially responsible policies also mean giving substance to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. Altera’s ESG strategy is focused on four pillars: Net Zero Carbon, Climate Resilience, Social Impact, and Responsible Management Platform. These pillars are also reflected in our policy for each fund, go visit their seperate page.

GRESB Benchmark

Since 2008, we have integrated sustainability into our investment policy and implementation. Our portfolios now meet many current sustainability requirements. We have participated in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark since the beginning, achieving the maximum rating of five stars since 2019.

UN PRI

Since signing the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) of UN PRI in 2017, Altera has participated in the benchmark. UN PRI is an initiative in collaboration with the UNEP Finance Initiative and the UN Global Compact. One of the key elements of the PRI is a globally leading, fully independent benchmark for responsible investment. Signatories contribute to the development of a more sustainable and transparent financial system and the continuous advancement of responsible investment practices.
