vanHaren comes to Gouweplein shopping centre in Waddinxveen

Real estate investor Altera, on behalf of the Altera Retail Fund, has reached agreement with vanHaren on a new 523 m² store in the heart of Waddinxveen. The footwear chain makes an outstanding addition to the range of outlets at Gouweplein shopping centre and will open its doors to customers in Waddinxveen from mid-April.

Gouweplein shopping centre

Offering attractive architecture, two hours of free parking, and a lively mix of local and national retailers, Gouweplein shopping centre is a retail hotspot for Waddinxveen and the wider area.  With a large number of homes being built locally, many families are choosing to settle in the town. The arrival of vanHaren is a timely replacement following the demise and departure of the Blokker retail chain.

Altera CIO Erwin Wessels sketches the bigger picture: “Up and down the country, we are seeing retailers coming forward to fill the locations left behind by Blokker. In Waddinxveen, too, we have succeeded in avoiding vacancy by closing a good deal quickly:  vanHaren is a fine addition to the retail scene, providing affordable shoes for the whole family – exactly the demographic to which Gouweplein caters.”
