Altera receives B Corp™ certification during PROVADA 2026
A new crowd puller is coming to the Gouweplein shopping centre. Real estate investor Altera has leased more than 200 m² on behalf of the Altera Retail Fund to the LOKAAL hospitality concept: a contemporary meeting place for the whole family. The arrival of LOKAAL will further consolidate the centre’s role as the premier meeting place in Waddinxveen. LOKAAL is planning a grand opening before the summer.
LOKAAL meets the growing demand for accessible, high-quality hospitality close to home. Visitors can drop by for a great cup of coffee, a family lunch or a relaxing drink on the terrace, while the children have fun.
The business was started by a young entrepreneur couple from Waddinxveen who involved the local community right from the start through a successful crowdfunding campaign. That sense of community is the foundation of the concept and creates a place where residents will soon feel at home.
