Altera appoints Janneke Pruijsen as ESG Team Lead

Real estate investment manager Altera Management B.V. (“Altera”) has appointed Janneke Pruijsen as ESG Team Lead with effect from 1 September.

Janneke joined Altera as ESG Manager in 2023. In that role, she made a significant contribution to the continued development and implementation of Altera’s ESG policy and sustainability objectives. She previously worked as Sustainability and Innovation Consultant at Plus Projects and as a Junior Researcher at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development.

Janneke succeeds Rudy Verstappen, who, after seven years at Altera, is pursuing his career outside the organisation. Rudy played a key role in developing and embedding ESG within Altera. Altera is grateful to him for his dedication and commitment and wishes him every success in his future career.

ESG is an integral part of Altera’s investment strategy and is aimed at future-proofing the real estate portfolios. Central to this is the strategy of making the portfolios Paris Proof by 2040. In this way, Altera works to create sustainable, future-proof value for its investors, tenants and society as a whole.

This ambition builds on a solid foundation. Both the Altera Residential Fund and the Altera Retail Fund have achieved the maximum five-star GRESB rating since 2019. Altera also obtained B Corp™ certification in 2026. As ESG Team Lead, Janneke will guide the further development and execution of the ESG strategy. Working with the other disciplines within Altera, she will help deliver the sustainability goals for the real estate portfolios and the organisation and align them with investors’ long-term objectives.
