Altera strengthens its retail portfolio with the acquisition of Ronde Erf shopping centre in Veenendaal
Real estate investor Altera has received the keys to Benelux901 from Wessels Rijssen (part of VolkerWessels). The completion of Benelux901 in Utrecht is marked by full occupancy and the arrival of the first residents. With the completion of this new residential complex, Altera, on behalf of the Altera Residential Fund, has simultaneously added 200 energy-efficient mid-range rental apartments to its portfolio and to the Utrecht housing landscape.
Altera CIO Erwin Wessels: “Benelux901 is a modern residential complex with a clear focus on sustainability. The building has an A+++ energy label and features a green retention roof that provides rainwater buffering, reduces heat stress and helps to improve biodiversity in the city. With Benelux901, we are not only adding high-quality and sustainable housing, but also contributing to a liveable and future-proof city.”
All amenities within easy reach
The complex offers 78 two-bedroom and 122 one-bedroom units, ideal for first-time buyers, two-person households and small families. With around 600 m² of integrated commercial space on the ground floor, the complex offers everyday conveniences right at residents’ doorstep. There is also a communal roof terrace that provides a shared meeting space. Residents also benefit from practical facilities including secure basement bicycle storage and a car park with 87 parking spaces.
Partnership and rapid letting
Beneluxlaan Utrecht CV developed Benelux901. Wessels Rijssen was responsible for construction. Property management has been entrusted to REBO, with letting overseen by MVGM Nieuwbouwverhuur.
