Altera publishes 2025 Annual Reports on its website
Real estate investor Altera has leased more than 800 m² GFA to the educational play concept MiniMasters at the Gouweplein shopping centre in Waddinxveen. This new addition on Marktstraat introduces a distinctive feature designed for young families to the shopping centre.
MiniMasters offers young children the opportunity to play independently and calmly in a variety of themed environments, such as a hospital, beauty salon, fire station, police station and restaurant. The concept encourages role play, social skills and independence. It originates from China, where it has become a well-established success.
Its debut at Gouweplein gives Waddinxveen an exceptional new venue that caters to the rising interest in premium, meaningful educational activities for young children. The location aligns well with the local demographic. Waddinxveen has a relatively high number of young families, for whom Gouweplein is an essential shopping centre for day-to-day needs. MiniMasters will increase the amount of time visitors spend there and strengthen Gouweplein’s role as a meeting place. The concept includes a family-friendly corner for enjoying light lunches and snacks. In addition, children’s parties can be organised there, creating additional reasons to visit outside regular shopping trips.
About Mini Masters
MiniMasters is an indoor playground where play and education go hand in hand. It provides a safe and inspiring environment where children can play freely and use their imagination, while learning about everyday life in a playful way. Through interactive play zones and role play, children explore different real-world roles and situations, such as shopping, cooking or working together.
MiniMasters encourages creativity, social interaction and self-confidence, but most importantly, it guarantees plenty of fun for children.Parents and carers can relax while their children develop in an environment specifically designed to combine learning and play.
Entrepreneur Sofia Hu: “We’re delighted to open our first location in Waddinxveen and look ahead with great optimism. Our goal is not only to serve families in Waddinxveen, but also to become a regional attraction.”
With the arrival of MiniMasters, Altera reinforces its strategy to future-proof shopping centres by creating a strong mix of daily amenities and conveniences, hospitality and experiential elements. MiniMasters is currently renovating the premises and expects to open its doors to visitors before the summer.
Erwin Wessels, CIO of Altera: “As an investor, we don’t just look at economic value but also at the social impact of our shopping centres. MiniMasters contributes to a welcoming environment where families come together, children can learn and grow and the centre is able to deepen its community role.”
Altera was advised on this letting by V&K Real Estate, which also provides property management services for Gouweplein.
