Real estate investor Altera is pleased to announce the appointment of Madeline Buijs. Madeline has been appointed as Head of Research & Strategy and as member of Altera’s management team, effective 1 November 2025.
She succeeds Ellen Tak who, after a successful period at Altera, has decided to pursue her career elsewhere. Throughout her years at Altera, Ellen made a significant contribution to the development, positioning and growth of the funds. Altera expresses its appreciation for her great dedication and involvement, and we wish her every success in her further career.
Madeline has extensive and in-depth experience in the area of real estate surveys and economic analyses. She was Chief Economist & Head of Research at Colliers for almost four years, where she was responsible for thought leadership and contributed to the organisation’s strategic direction. Before that she was a Construction & Property Analyst at ABN AMRO where she shaped the bank’s economic vision regarding these sectors, produced publications and supported the risk policy.
At Altera, Madeline will focus on further increasing the sustainability of property and improving the investment strategies based on trends, policy developments, ESG requirements and changes in the property markets.
We are confident that Madeline will fulfil this role with enthusiasm and professionalism and, working closely with her colleagues Thijs Guinee (Research Manager) and Rogier Diepeveen (Performance & Valuation Analyst), will make a significant contribution to Altera’s business objectives.
