Altera publishes 2025 Annual Reports on its website
In Harderwijk, Hemink is working on behalf of Altera on sustainability upgrades for 41 apartments in Bachdreef. The works are combining maintenance with radical energy improvements. It is yet another significant step taken by Altera towards a Paris-proof portfolio, combining quality, comfort and energy efficiency.
The apartments are being upgraded to an average of energy label A to A+/A++, significantly improving the energy efficiency of the complex. Overall, the measures will result in energy savings of up to 40%. There will also be a noticeable improvement in living comfort.
The measures include the application of HR++ glazing, improved draught proofing combined with decentralised heat recovery with CO₂ control for fresh air, reduced draughts and a more stable indoor temperature.
Willem Jan van de Water, Altera: “The sustainability upgrade on these 41 apartments in Bachdreef is a direct result of our integrated ESG approach. By linking maintenance to energy improvements, we are increasing living comfort and reducing our tenants’ energy consumption as we move towards a future-proof, Paris-proof portfolio for our participants and society.”
Erik Dam, project manager, Hemink Groep: “This project is a perfect example of combining sustainability upgrades with maintenance. Thanks to the great communication and support offered, all of the residents have been cooperative. That was crucial, because all of the communal flues needed replacing. Working with Altera, we are bringing this complex a significant step closer to the future: more energy efficient, more comfortable and more sustainable.”
During the works, communication with residents and careful implementation are key. Thanks to effective coordination and support, disruption is being kept to a minimum, enabling the works to be completed smoothly.
